Vimy Ridge with Blair Ketcheson

The event will be held on November 13, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

About This Presentation

Blair Ketcheson was commissioned to photograph the Vimy Memorial in France after it underwent a major restoration. The experience of visiting and photographing it was more profound than I expected at the time. Since then I have exhibited the work and am currently organizing a multidisciplinary stage show around the photographs and the story of Vimy. This show is set to premiere in October and will feature a Juno-nominated band, the Victoria Philharmonic Choir, dancers from Ballet Victoria and others.

The talk he will give will revolve around the experience of photographing the Vimy Memorial as well as other aspects of war art and technologies involved.
