Vancouver Island Dragon Boat Festival

Festival runs August 23 and 24-2025

This event is run by the Fairway Gorge Paddling Club 2940 Jutland road Victoria.

Billed as the best race venue, the islands most experienced race management team and safest fleet of Dragon Boats.

Featured this year is a new Pentathlon ( 500m,200m,100m, flag relay and a show stopper guts and glory followed by a final 500m for the top 3 finishing women's and mixed teams.

This is a great opportunity for great action shots, tons of people, colour, drama and excitement.

Racecourse is between the Bay Street Bridge and the Selkirk Trestle.

No information on start times. This will be published as soon as we have the details. 

There will be lots of opportunities for great shots as they warm up early in the morning , during the day and as the event is winding down at the end of the day.

Vantage points would be the Trestle, area in front of Glo Restaurant. And depending on the tide along the shore.

Parking is limited.

Meet at 10:00 AM on Saturday August 23 by the Glo Restaurant 2940 Jutland Road, watch for updates on the start time as soon as the schedule is published.
