Selection Process
Members are invited to submit their JPEG images for consideration in the 80th Anniversary Print Show.
The Selection Committee will select the images to be displayed as prints in the show based primarily on the emotional impact, clarity of vision, or creativity of the image, with only secondary emphasis on the technical aspects of the photography. Basic technical competence will be considered, but the overall intention is to include as many members of the Club as possible, without regard to the “competition level” of the member.
This is not a competition, but a showcase of the work of the Victoria Camera Club, which is a diverse group of photographers, and the Show is intended to represent all levels. Selections should be made by Tuesday, July 2nd, with notice of selection to members thereafter. Members will then have until at least August 15th to print, frame and deliver their selected prints to a designated location. The 80th Anniversary Print Committee will be monitoring this timeline and may change deadline dates if deemed necessary.
Please upload your JPEG images here:
Don't let the fact that we are using the VCC's Competition uploader for the juried Print Show image submission process confuse you. This is merely the tool we have available for this purpose.
