CAPA Digital Theme Competition  

   

Definition:

It appears that this year’s theme is basically “Open”. The CAPA Scope of Competition reads as follows: “Images submitted into this competition can come from a wide range of topics. Photographers are encouraged to submit their best artistic or documentary images that express their interests and passions in photography."


    

Specifications

  1. Images should be in JPEG format, maximum 1400 pixels on the horizontal x 1050 on the vertical in size,
  2. Note: One of the dimensions must be exactly the maximum allowed size (either 1400 or 1050 pixels).
  3. sRGB colour space and have a maximum file size of 1.8 MB
  4. Maximum number of submissions per VCC member is two

   

VCC Results

  • 2019/20:

This competition theme was Curves and Lines. This included: Converging Lines, Curved Lines, Diagonal Lines, Horizontal Lines, Opposing diagonal Lines. S-Curves, Vertical Lines. Images submitted were “open”, including monochrome, creative, altered reality, landscapes, cityscapes, nature, people, macro and wildlife. This competition was “open editing”.

The Victoria Camera Club placed 4th out of 40 clubs that resulted in an Honourable Mention Award. See gallery to the right

     There was no Theme competition in 2018/19

    • 2017/18:

     There was no Theme competition in 2017/18

    • 2016/17:

    The theme was "Capture a Single Image Using a Smartphone or a Tablet". In 2017, the VCC entry came second and was awarded the Silver Medal See the gallery
